Description
Hello. Just wanted to submit a feature-request... I've created a new virtual drive and installed WinXP on it. This works fine until here. But if i want to create a copy of the virtual-drive file to use it on another virtual pc, i cannot add both of the images to the VirtualBox, because "a drive with the same UUID has already been added".
I tried this because i wanted to use this image as base for multiple virtual computers, therefore i need to copy the file to be able to use it multiple times and to add different installations to each of the specific base-images.
Thanks and best regards Atmostrophic

If clonevdi still worked, then maybe setting this request to invalid would have been appropriate. However, as of version 2.1 it is broken, and this would be a good function for those inclined to help themselves. Fortunately there is another way:
thanks to mpack http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=12369&sid=bc16b6a91055d0883b1b4447efa2a96f VBoxManage internalcommands setvdiuuid file.vdi
this will change the uuid and print it out.

Use 'VBoxManage clonevdi'.
