Description
Guest Additions do not work with Windows7 Beta (build 7000) as guest and Windows XP as host.

They seem to somewhat work. At least when I did an install of them on the 32-bit beta of Windows 7, running with a host of Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64, most of the additions seem to work, but sometimes rebooting fails (hangs at end of windows logo animation). If I let it repair itself, usually it completes booting the next time, looks like drivers are still installed, but the mouse integration and seamless modes do not work. If I rerun the installer, then it hangs on boot again.

This seems to be caused only by the version checking. A temporary workaround is shown in this blog entry: http://www.ideaexcursion.com/2008/12/31/installing-windows-7-beta-1-in-virtualbox-210/
