Description
Hello, I am attempting to connect an LPC1114 to an Ubuntu 18.04.6 VM running on VirtualBox 6.1.34a via an ST-LINK/V2. Shortly after connecting the device and adding it to the Ubuntu VM, my personal machine experienced a BSOD which threw PNP_DETECTED_FATAL_ERROR (ca).
This BSOD recurred 2 more times, only when VirtualBox was running and the device was plugged in simultaneously, the BSOD did not occur when either event happened individually.
Taking a look at the minidump, it seems IoGetDevicePropertyData and VBoxUSBMon have something to do with it. Attached are the relevant minidump and VM log.

Ditto on an up-to-date Windows 10 PC at work, except mine does it with a Startech USB to Serial adapter. Thought it might be this (finnicky) serial driver, so reverted (and confirmed) that but no change. Can't open any VM's which utilize the USB serial adapter; host always bluescreens at VM boot, near the point where the MBR would be read (and Windows dings, notifying of USB device removal.) The VM's work fine if the device is not connected.
Recently discovered that it can also sometimes bluescreen the Windows desktop, without VBox running, by host connecting/using/disconnecting the USB serial adapter several times. All dumps are exactly like camcom's. Reinstalled latest VBox; may know more soon.

I have the same issue. I get the BSOD whenever I plug in any USB device or try to use my webcam. I can sometimes prevent the BSOD by closing out VirtualBox but if vBox is open, it will always crash when using USB devices.

The issue is resolved for me after updating to latest 6.1.40 - no more system crashes when connecting serial USB device to VM's.
The 6.1 changelogs show several interim USB patches: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Changelog-6.1 One or more may have resolved this issue. Camcom, ttarter, is it fixed for you also?
Interesting, 7.0.2 is available but not seen as an "update" by 6.1.
