initial v1 5 5 The idea is that complete hardware emulation of a SATA-AHCI interface was not required, and that cutting out the unnecessary emulation would allow the block level virtio drivers in the guest operating system are more efficient. 6 6 7 I added a SATA-AHCI controller, moved the Virtual disk over, and deleted the VIRTIO Storage controller. 7 I added a SATA-AHCI controller, moved the Virtual disk over, and deleted the VIRTIO Storage controller. This confirms that that the component causing the crash was the VIRTIO storage controller. 8 9 Hence, the "Workaround" to avoid this bug, is, to avoid using VIRTIO Storage controller 8 10 9 11 So, the bug is that that the VirtIO Storage controller is not suspend/resume tolerant.
