Please uninstall the VirtualBox Guest Additions, reboot, then do the upgrade and after you upgraded to Windows 10, install the VirtualBox Guest Additions.

I did that, but it changes nothing. Same screen as with installed Guest Additions.

In that case the Guest Additions are most likely not completely uninstalled. What happened after you uninstalled + rebooted the guest? Did Windows propose to install a new driver for the VirtualBox VMM device? Can you post a screen shot of the device manager after you uninstalled the Guest Additions?

The automatic adjsutment of the screen is off, that's normal.

No. I deinstalled the driver over the contextmenü in device-manager. During reboot the VM driver was installed again. Even the option to delete the driver in the context menu changed nothing.
Can you post a screen shot of the device manager after you uninstalled the Guest Additions? O.K.

That looks right. My guess is that even when the Guest Additions are uninstalled then still something is left behind.
Question: When you installed the Guest Additions in the Windows 7 guest, did you install the WDDM driver? It means that during the installation of the Guest Additions you need to enable "Direct3D Support" and during the following question ("This system supports the Windows Aero (WDDM) interface... Would you like to install the basic Direct3D support instead?") you have to click "No". Also increase the size of the VRAM like suggested in the next page. Doing so could also fix your problem.

Guest Additions with WDDM driver or without (Each with installed / deinstalled Guest Additions). All end with the posted attachment 'Bildschirmfofo.png'.

If installing W10 from scratch you get a warning, when installing the guest editions, that the video driver isn't certified by Microsoft. You have to confirm that the driver should installed. But the driver is missing opengl support (3D function in Basecamp isn't possible. As posted in another thread I made some changes in the registry (see attached file) and now it works.
The problem using this way is, that you have to buy a product key from Microsoft instead of using the free upgrade. Oracle should change this before the 31. July because the free upgrade to W10 ends then.
