    9 The problem lies with the guest-utils ISO, which Arch uses to make their packages -- not with any particular distribution or packagers.
     9The problem is definitely a guest-utils code change that occurred between the 5.0.16 and 5.0.18 guest-utils ISO... not with any particular distribution or packagers.  In fact, I stopped using the Ubuntu packages just to eliminate the possibility of there being a packaging problem.
