Unable to boot any 64-bit guest OS using Windows 64-bit

Description
I am unable to boot any guest OS under Windows (64-bit). Everything works fine under Ubuntu. It seems that any virtual hard disk activity just doesn't go through, the machine just stops there. It doesn't crash or freeze, it just proceeds to do nothing.
I have tried almost every guest OS out there, not a single one works. What does work though, is booting a 32-bit guest OS without hardware virtualization.

The log file you attached shows a boot attempt from a virtual CDROM image and no failure is visible. What happens in the guest, do you see the grub menu?

Log file of me trying to boot Lubuntu, After 47 seconds I pulled the plug.
