It simply shows as non-existant in explorer or safely remove USB hardware. To bring this back I must unplug it and plug it back in (sometimes several times). Then Windows gets that it is available and loads the device. Windows problem report of crash: Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: VBoxSVC.exe Application Version: 2.2.2.0 Application Timestamp: 49f5fbf7 Fault Module Name: VBoxDDU.dll Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 49f5fa48 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00019434 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.6 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: f3b8 Additional Information 2: 35c310a4ca337ca27efb63ede506985e Additional Information 3: 9fe5 Additional Information 4: 5d209e3173825e38ae96dfc30034002f After this I can then open the guest and unplug and plug in to get focus but not until after the VBox USB driver has been loaded in Windows and crashes VBox. Bringing VBox up after the USB device driver has been loaded allows me to use the USB device as it should be untill I reboot the host and of course Windows unloads the VBox USB device driver. I really think it has something to do with the VBox USB device driver not being loaded in Windows at system reboot. When VBox tries to load it at the same time that it is requiring Windows to install the driver it causes it to crash.
