| #4512 | worksforme | Cannot install Vista SP1 | ||
| Description |
I have installed plain vanilla vista on virtualbox 3.0.2 Windows XP host. Then I have created a shared folder and put there Vista sp1 on the host. Then on the guest I have launched this sp1 - it asks my permission to launch and then does nothing. No hdd blinking, no cpu loading, nothing, I have tried several times, and tried to wait longer, with no success. |

| #11777 | worksforme | Crash on opening of the VM settings. | ||
| Description |
I'm running VBox 4.2.12 on Debian 6.0.6 Squeeze AMD64 After update from 4.2.8 to 4.2.12 opening of settings of any VM cause X-session crash. Crash occurs both on existing and newly created VMs. After downgrade to 4.2.8 or 4.2.6 there is the same behavior. Here is an exported VM on which this behavior is reproducable on my machine: https://www.dropbox.com/s/37bpy57r2smabzz/SmartOS-CrashOnOpenSettings.ova Sorry, because of X-session crash i don't know how can i make a core dump (gnome-terminal with VirtualBox process crashes with X.org). Is there any way to run a VirtualBox from other terminal (tty) while running it's X-session on tty8? Thanks. |

| #17658 | duplicate | Mouse pointer as dots -> duplicate of #17074 | ||
| Description |
Hi. I have HP14ba105ur, Virtual Box v. 5.2.8, quest Windows 7, host Windows 10. When the monitor is connected to the HDMI, the "select text" pointer is displayed as a 2 dots in the VM. If you disconnect an external monitor, the problem disappears. Someone has faced such a feature and probably knows how to solve it. For example - foto (in zip). But the in GIF is the right pointer!
