#10688 obsolete mount command doesn't report correctly shared folder. collette
Description

I use VirtualBox-4.1.6. My host OS is Windows XP 64, my guest os is mageia 2 64 bits.

I have several shared folders in my virtual machine. When I enter 'mount', the mount command lists all the mounted media.

For example, I've got a MYUSER shared folder pointing to c:\

Under linux, I mounted the shared folder:

mount -t vboxsf MYUSER /media/MYUSER

Now, if I enter 'mount', I've got:

none on /media/sf_MYUSER type vboxsf (rw,nodev, relatime)

It should report:

MYUSER on /media/sh_MYUSER type vboxsf (rw,nodec, relatime)

#1744 fixed Shared folder doesn't work properly under Vista as guest... ybbozman
Description

On exact the same host (Mandriva 2008 x64), the "Shared Folder" network-provider appears in XP but not in Vista. The only way to access a shared folder in Vista is the command-line (net use ...).

Even tried with Vista and UAC disabled => same behavior.

Tried the same with XP as host => same results.

#3137 duplicate Audio with OSX host and vista ultimate 64 guest yatman
Description

I am running osx 10.5.6 and 2.1.2 Virtual Box. I installed Vista Ultimate 64 and I am having audio problems. The following combinations don't seem to do anything:

1) Null Audio/ICH AC97 2) Null Audio/Soundblaster

3)CoreAudio/ICH AC97 4)CoreAudio/Soundblaster

Randomly, Windows detects a multimedia device but can't seem to locate any drivers.
