#5840 fixed [feature-request] Support seamless mode with older Linux guests -> fixed in SVN after version 3.1 Technologov
Description

In the last weekend I looked at VMware Workstation 7 and realized that they support Seamless mode and dynamic resolution resizing on ancient Linux guests, such as RHEL 3.9.

This was absolutely shocking news to me, because, in contrast VBox requires some Randr X11 extensions which only exist in recent Linux guests.

Some traces of VMware source code do exist:

Supporting dyn. resolution resizing and seamless mode for older Linux guests is important for the workflow, esp. because running legacy OSes is one of major use cases for virtualization.

#5875 duplicate [feature-request] Stretch resolution (Zoom-In magnifier) -> duplicate of #5596 Technologov
Description

For low resolution guest applications (StarCraft game) there is a need to provide stretching functions for VBox itself.

At least 2x stretcher (software rendering) is necessary. Floating-point stretcher would be even better. (OpenGL anyone?)

It will also improve guests rendering that are running in text-mode (80x25).

This obsoletes wish #1602

#5958 fixed [feature-request] Snapshots optimization: Do not merge if not necessary Technologov
Description

If I create several snapshots, then delete previous one, there is no need to merge.

like this: (both snapshots are offline, not Live)

+-snapshot01 |

+snapshot02 (changed VM settings, not VDIs)

Then I decided to delete snapshot01. Currently it tries to merge it with snapshot02, which takes time, but in reality in such cases it is much better to discard snapshot02 differencing VDI, and use differencing VDI of snapshot01 for snapshot02.
