Every time i try to create a new virtual drive (for a Linux openSuSE 64bit guest) i get the following error: Die virtuelle Festplatte H:\Dateien\Linux\virtualmachine_images\openSuSEvirtualbox.vdi konnte nicht erzeugt werden. Could not save the settings file 'C:\Users\black\.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml' (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED). Details: Fehlercode: VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004) Komponente: VirtualBox Interface: IVirtualBox {3f4ab53a-199b-4526-a91a-93ff62e456b8} Both files exist. So that shouldn't be the problem. I can't find a VBox.log file. VirtualBox 3.0.2 is installed the first time on my computer. |

| Description |
I am installing Windows XP service pack 3 in wirtual box. the settings of my virtual machine is :- 768MB RAM 12MB Graphics memory 10GB Harddisk ACPI - Disabled IO Apic - disabled usb 2.0 - Enabled When i try to install the xp, it works well upto the gui part. In Gui part when the xp tries to install devices (i.e. installing the devices ,35 minutes remaining) the installation simply freezes and nothing happen any further. But, I can control the machine and have to power it off. There is nothing special got logged in the vbox.log file. When i try to install in previous versions(before 2.0) the installation completes successfully. Also installing with usb 2.0 disabled, let the xp install successfully. |
