| #9710 | wontfix | [feature-request] VBOXSF: Please remove requirement to add users to 'vboxsf' group for auto-mounted folders | ||
| Description |
Hi, Host: VBox 4.1.4 on any host OS (and all previous versions) Guest: any Linux (and possibly UNIX) Currently you require all users (except 'root') to be part of 'vboxsf' group in order to use VBOXSF. Please remove this requirement for auto-mounted shared folders. Auto-mounted shared folders are usually used by normal Home users, not some Linux admins, and this creates lots of problems for normal home Linux users, such as my father. -Technologov, 6.10.2011. |

| #11435 | wontfix | [feature-request] Usability: Please introduce security levels | ||
| Description |
VirtualBox should have 2 security levels: Home and Enterprise. Enterprise defaults = symlinks restricted, Guest OS Shared Folders for only one user (like now on Linux guests, for "root"), 3D acceleration disabled, shared clipboard disabled, file drag-n-drop disabled. Home defaults = symlinks unrestricted, Guest OS Shared Folders should be enabled for all users (no need to add your user to "vboxsf" group anymore on Linux guests, my father particularly struggles on this section, this is very much anti-intuitive for new Linux users coming from Windows), 3D acceleration enabled, shared clipboard enabled, file drag-n-drop enabled. -Technologov, 29.01.2013. |

| #347 | fixed | [feature-request] The vboxmanage clonevdi doesn't have a -register option | ||
| Description |
Hi! I experienced, the vboxmanage clonevdi command doesn't have a -register option. It will be useful, because when I cloning a machines, i can skip one step: the harddisk registering. I think it's a may implemented as vboxmanage createvdi command -register option. |
