#2557 invalid Windows XP guest BSOD crash myxiplx
Description

Virtualbox 2.0.4 seems much better than 2.0.2, but I just had Windows XP BSOD and reboot on me. At the time I was just connecting an RDP session to one of our servers, so again it looks like this might be network related.

I have the Windows XP crash dump (attached), and the full VirtualBox log. I've not attached the VirtualBox log since it's 13MB in size - it appears that the virtual machine kept running fine this time. Please let me know if you do need that file.

The windows event log reported an event 1001 - Save Dump, with description:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x10000050 (0xf8321000, 0x00000000, 0xf441be51, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini110308-01.dmp.

I believe the relevant section from the VirtualBox log is this, but to me it doesn't appear to have much to say regarding the crash:

#2558 fixed Windows XP guest crashes once at first startup Jonas Bygdén
Description

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 on my work laptop. In VirtualBox 2.0.4 I run Windows XP SP3 as guest.

Every day when I go home I shut down my Windows XP guest, and on first start the next morning it ALWAYS crashes. Any subsequent starts works fine, even if it's shut down properly.

The logs show nothing on why this happens (see attached log-file).

I have been able to create a coredump now.
