| #3849 | duplicate | Creating New Hard Disk Image Fails with Copy & Pasted Text | ||
| Description |
When I go to create a new VM and hard disk image I run into a problem. At the new Hard Disk stage I go to create the new one on a different drive because my primary one is full and when I copy my machine name into the save dialogue box the whole GUI freezes and I have to force it closed. Every time I have tried this I get the same result. If I type something into the dialogue it works fine. As well, if I type something in then remove it I can paste with no issues. My OS: Windows Vista Guest OS: Numerous CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 |

| #2143 | duplicate | Creating OS/2 Warp 3 guest crashes VirtualBox 2.0 on OS X Leopard | ||
| Description |
When I launched VirtualBox 2.0 on Mac OS X Leopard (Intel, Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66 GHz with 2 GB RAM) it works fine for the most part. I have an MS-DOS 6.22 (with Windows for Workgroups 3.11) guest which works fine and a Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3 guest which works fine as well. However, when I go to create an OS/2 Warp 3 guest, it crashes when I go to make the virtual hard disk drive. I go with the new, dynamically expanding one using the default values for RAM and disk space. As soon as I hit the next button, VirtualBox quits. No errors shown, etc. it just quits. I have more than sufficient disk space free on the host. I tried to get a Core Dump but this is all I got: anthonys-mac-mini:Applications anthony$ ls V* VirtualBox.app: Contents anthonys-mac-mini:Applications anthony$ ulimit -c unlimited anthonys-mac-mini:Applications anthony$ VirtualBox VirtualBox(361,0xa0271fa0) malloc: * mmap(size=2147487744) failed (error code=12) * error: can't allocate region * set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug Bus error anthonys-mac-mini:Applications anthony$ |

| #14300 | duplicate | Creating a child snapshot with different disc image attached also changes the one attached in main snapshot | ||
| Description |
However, if the snapshots (later SS) were created using an older VirtualBox version, the images will stay correctly attached in 5.0. How to reproduce: 1. Make sure you're running the latest VBox 5.0 as previous releases doesn't appear to have this issue. 2. Create a new virtual machine with arbitrary settings. 3. Attach a CD/DVD image of your choice, then create the first SS. 4. Once done, replace the attached CD/DVD image with a different one, and create a secondary SS. 5. Now restore the first SS and you should be able to see the that the attached CD/DVD image differs from what you used before. |
