#8295 obsolete Crazy bugs while capturing Videos + Sounds Aurélien
Description

Hi,

Whatever the tools i'm using for Capturing like Fast Stone Capture for Videos + Sounds in WMV format or Camtasia Studio 7 with Audios + Videos, i'm having a lots of issues with Video Guest Drivers that i figured out finally after some days of fighting this.

The problem doesn't occur with 3.2.10 Guest drivers. All versions above are malfunctioning !

So to try to explain : I'm making videos captures with speech, and for unknown reasons, the videos is not captured correctly : Too fast, too slow or my voices are not correct. When starting the capture, the few first seconds, but the more i'm recording, more crazy will go the capture : Video too fast or too slow, voices not perfect, sometimes the voice can become crazy, or not synchro or whatever...

I spent hours to test all kind of versions of VirtualBox until i figured out the VM version 3.2.10 are working smoothly and perfectly whatever the capture.

So, i decided to Upgrade to 4.0.2 but to keep the 3.2.10 guest videos drivers, and guess what ? I still can capture perfectly too...

There is no error message, excepted after the upgrade, The VM asked me to install the Extensions Pack. But after that is done, it's ok.

#4627 fixed Crazy keyboard repeating Sam Morris
Description

After my VM has been running for some time, the keybaord goes a bit crazy. It begins to endlessly autorepeat whatever key was last pressed. e.g., I may press 'a', then KeyPress and KeyRelease events are generated for the 'a' key, forever.

The only way to fix this is to reboot the VM.

The host is Windows Vista Home Basic (64-bit) and guest is Debian using Linux 2.6.30.

I don't remember seeing this bug with versions prior to 3.0, BTW.

#7240 obsolete Crazy monitor behavior. It's having a seizure. Alan
Description

We have deployed Virtualbox 3.0.8 to a number of customers. They are all running a web browser in seamless mode on a variety of laptops and desktops including Dell and Lenovo. The guest OS is Windows XP as are most of the host OS. They are having an issue where the entire screen turns into a multi-color hodgepodge of lines and static. It looks similar to when you have poor television reception with an antenna. I have seen this issue myself on a Lenovo laptop running Windows XP. At the time, I suspected our video drivers were the cause and updated them to the latest. That didn't fix this problem.

One of our users described the problem like this: "I had one this AM that occurred as I opened an email. Others have gotten it while opening Office apps. Others have received it while surfing the web. The entire screen becomes skewed and starts shaking. You can still move your mouse and can actually do a graceful shutdown, but the screen looks like it is having a seizure." These users only use a web browser within the Virtualbox guest. The other apps them mentioned run on the host OS.

Has anyone seen this and know what is going on?
