| #11304 | obsolete | Windows 7 Bridged Networking high CPU usage | ||
| Description |
Virtualbox 4.2.4 r81684 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit host. After installing with default options, CPU usage hovers around 80-100% for a single core. This is immediately after installation, before configuring any VM. Rebooting has no effect. Uninstalling drops CPU back to 0%. Reinstalling with Bridged Networking unselected in the installer leads to 0% CPU. On further investigation, it seems to be related to the "Atheros AR8161/8165 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller". Disabling this device in Device Manager causes the CPU usage to immediately drop back to 0% Driver details: Driver Provider: Atheros Driver Date: 16/01/2012 Driver Version: 2.0.12.13 |

| #11307 | obsolete | vboxmanager CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE on raw disk create | ||
| Description |
I have the latest stable virtual box. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. When I try and create a new raw disk vmdk, I get the error listed at the bottom of this message. After some googling, I found the issue at https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/630. And seeing my error was similar, I figured I'd remove my French Canadian keyboard, to see what would happen. Sure enough, it immediately worked. I was then unable to reproduce it. However, it came up again, and I removed my French Canadian keyboard to fix it. You'll notice I got the error twice in a row, and then I removed the keyboard, and the third message is success.
