#14544 obsolete always a small window 296x31 and cannot be resized feiteng
Description

always a small window 296x31 and can not be resized. after the upgrade virtualbox, all virtual machines stopped working resizing. remove the "Guest Additions" not helps. option "adjust windows size" reduces the virtual machine window to 296x31, any attempt to stretch unsuccessful.

when "Guest Additions" not installed, possible to adjust window manually, but very soon it become 296x31 and scrolls visible.

option "adjust windows size" make a very small window with scrolls even if "Guest Additions" not installed.

sorry for bad english.

#772 obsolete alt-tab switch to remote desktop (vrdp) session results in garbage when typing ahmedis
Description

I have a CentOS 4.4 guest running on a Windows XP SP2 host. The guest has been started in headless more using "vboxvrdp -startvm". I use the Windows XP remote desktop client to connect to the guest without problems. However if I alt-tab switch windows away and back to the guest any characters typed are garbled, i.e. appear as if they're are prefixed with a control key. e.g. If I type 'asd' this shows up as [a[s[d. The only way to resolve this is to switch virtual consoles while connected to the guest. So Alt-F2 (to swtich to console 2) and then Alt-F1 (to switch back to console 1). If I then switch windows and switch back to the guest the same thing occurs and requires using the workaround to be able to type anything.

#15771 fixed alt key in guest stopped working -> possibly fixed in releases higher than 5.1.4 ÄxxlForce
Description

never had issues with the alt key and all of a sudden it's not working in the guest anymore (tested win8 and win10).

if i deactivate mouse integration the alt key works but it's not how i want to use the vm.

it does something though because when i hit alt+enter in my IDE on the guest system it does nothing instead of breaking the line which you would expect if it just ignored alt
