| #5784 | duplicate | Recognising AMD-V without reinstall on Linux hosts, after kernel upgrade on host. | ||
| Description |
Having multiple guest VM`s,using XUbuntu 8.04 LTS 64-bit, using AMD-V instructions. Installed VBox 3.1 using .deb repository. I used it for some time, but I tried to use it again and.. this message appeared . My guess is that it is because I think kernel is updated in release between two installs. It there a way to fix this without uninstalling and re-installing Virtualbox on Linux host? |

| #10895 | obsolete | GM(VERR_VMX_INVALID_GUEST_STATE) on Windows 7 with latest Updates freezes on Ubuntu 12.04 and VB 4.1.20 r80170 | ||
| Description |
Hi, I'm using the system as described before and sometimes I get a Guru Meditation error, or the guest system just freezes after some time. Any pointers how to fix the problem, or where to search? I noticed that a plain Win7 installation runs ok, but after installing the latest security updates and fixes it just freezes. But I'm not 100% sure about that observation. Thanks, Mark |
