#11252 obsolete manually moving virtual disk file to new location raise errors Rajib Khan
Description

Moving a virtual disk file (VHD file) from one location to another in the host raises an error the next time when I'm trying to start VM to which the virtual disk was attached.

I tried to detach and reattach the disk from the file from the new location. That raised another error since the disk file i'm trying to attach have the same UUID as the file that was registered at the previous location.

Then, I checked the disk in the virtual disk manager, the virtual media is shown missing with a 'exclamation' sign, but I cannot remove the 'lost' media, neither do i find any way to just change the location. Both the 'release' and 'remove' command in the right click menu is disabled and I manually checked and found that the HDD is no longer attached to any registered VM.

Feature request: I think there should be a way to just tell the virtual media manager that the media is now available at a new location of the host.

#11258 obsolete Startup W2K guest very slow after upgrading guest additions to V4 rkbwde
Description

After upgrading guest additions to V4.2.4, bootup of a Windows 2000 guest takes 2 minutes instead of 10 seconds. It hangs a very long time after displaying "preparing network connections". I tried several network configurations with guest additions V4.2.4, but to no avail.

Workaround: downgrade guest additions to V3.2.14

#11260 obsolete Host system restarts when running Windows XP guest system informaticus

Guest: Windows XP
Hardware: Intel Core i7-3770, 32 GB RAM (4x8 GB 1600 MHz Elixir), NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 4096 MB

When installing Windows XP from an ISO image, the host system restarted. I had the same problem with guest systems installed on another computer and now used with the hardware above.
