| Description |
I found that the binaries installed virtualbox from oracle repositories causing malfunction on my debian wheezy. Every time I run virtualbox, the prompt asked them to return this command although the DKMS package is installed "/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup" we can see that the service vboxdrv is not started at boot the machine because there is no runlevel assigned to this service. | #11234 | obsolete | When switching the network adapter, Windows XP guest freezes if free memory is low | ||
| Description |
My Windows XP Prof. guest system freezes frequently when switching the network adapter between "Bridged adapter" and "NAT" when free memory is low. The host system is Mac OS Lion 10.7.5. Since I have to connect to different networks, switching the network adapter is necessary, and often this results in a forced reboot of the guest system. This has already happened in earlier VirtualBox versions. Thanks for your help. |

| #11235 | obsolete | OS/2 guest: Virtualbox boot screen artefacts when guest boots, guest won't shut down via APM | ||
| Description |
I reverted back to VirtualBox 4.1.22 where neither of the following issues showed up: 1) after the VirtualBox initíal screen shows, part of the screen content will continue to display (dimmed) when the guest starts up 2) I cannot shutdown the OS/2 guest (which is done via APM). The OS/2 guest will hang on the attempt but VirtualBox itself can be closed down properly. |
