Ticket Resolution Summary Owner Reporter
#4398 fixed Resolution is limited to size of one head CShadowRun
Description

This used to work back in virtualbox 2, after upgrading to virtualbox 3, i can no longer set the resolution of the guest to higher than 1280x1024, which is the size of 1 of my displays. I have 4 displays, my maximum resolution is 5120x1024. My host is linux and the guest is windows, but i can guess that the problem is probably present in all host/guest combinations.

#4399 fixed OpenSolaris additions break GL -> Fixed in SVN. bqbauer
Description

This may be related to ticket 4365.

With VB 3.0.0, tested on both Windows XP 32-bit host and an OpenSolaris 2009.06 64-bit host, certain applications like gnome-appearance-properties don't work. They report the following:

ld.so.1: gnome-appearance-properties: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/X11/lib/libGL.so: symbol glXFreeMemoryMESA: referenced symbol not found

ld.so.1: gnome-appearance-properties: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/bin/gnome-appearance-properties: symbol glXQueryServerString: referenced symbol not found

Additionally, with a 2009.06 guest, you cannot see windows move when they are dragged with the mouse, but once you let go of the mouse the window pops to the new location. If you click on the Gnome menus, there is no menu highlighting of what the mouse is hovering over. With a 2008.11 guest, these two issues do not manifest. Also, with v117 guests, the additions appear not to function at all. v117 is far less important than fixing these other issues.

I believe I have selected the correct version of the log files. If necessary, I can reproduce the problems again. This second part of my report renders OpenSolaris guests somewhat frustrating to use.

#4400 fixed virtual box hangs on holding down a cursor key Neil Clarkson
Description

I have Virtual Box 3.0 hosted on Ubuntu 9.04 (but I saw the same problem with the previous Virtual Box release). I have a VM with Ubuntu 8.04. If I have a large txt file loaded into gvim on the guest OS and I try to scroll down a couple pages by holding down the down arrow key, Virtual Box just hangs on me completely. Everytime. 100% reproducible so far.

Left the component field alone - didnt understand half the options in it.
