| #21110 | invalid | blkcache_ioerr causes fatal crash | ||
| Description |
I am running vbox 6.1.38 on a win 11 host with up to date patches. My guest is ubu 22.04.1 server. I have vdi's for /, swap, /home. space allocation for / is 200G, fixed; currently, 175G is free. The drive hosting this vm is a samsung m.2, 2T, drive; 1.2T is currently free. For each vdi, I have selected the options for ssd drive and hot swap. I have done fresh installations of vbox, then the ubu server, four times now, and all have gotten this error within 10 minutes of starting the vm. The m.2 drive in question has posted no error messages in its logs. I would be happy to provide whatever supplemental info might be required to further diagnose / solve this problem. |

| #4541 | duplicate | black vm screen after installing guest additions on linux guests but not on windows guests -> duplicate of #4430 | ||
| Description |
I installed ubuntu and openSUSE on virtualbox. But after i ran all the updates, I installed guest additions and restarted the guest OS. The VM screen went black after the bootsplash screen except for a 1 cm horizontal line above the screen. Only linux guest os seems have the problem. I installed windows xp with guest additions and I did not encounter any problems. I have tried using virtualbox with on/off 3D acceleration settings, but it doesn't seem to matter. I am using an Intel 4500MHD onboard video. |

| #5304 | fixed | black screen after starting windows guest on Fedora 11 | ||
| Description |
Hello, I've used a windows guest on Fedora systems for several years without any problems. However, now when I try to start the guest, in the time I should see login screen I get only a black screen, nothing more. It has worked before, it is probably not related to VirtualBox update but to some Fedora updates (I use the guest once per month or so, hence I'm not able to track this in more detail). |
