| #19191 | fixed | booting various VMs causing a kernel panic on the Mac => fixed in 6.0.16/6.1.2 | ||
| Description |
Booting various VMs causing a kernel panic on a host Mac Pro. The Mac is running 10.14.6. The virtual machines are hosted on a ZFS disk. I don't see this happening a similarly configured Mac Pro, but where the virtual machines are stored on APFS. The problem occurs with earlier versions of Virtualbox. I was able to reproduce it a few times booting from the system rescue cd. The problem is described in-depth at https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=94279. There are attachments there (kernel panic log, etc). |

| #348 | fixed | booting slax livecd iso crashes vista host | ||
| Description |
Just downloaded and installed VB 1.3.8. Tried to boot slax in VB from iso file. The boot proceeds OK to the slax "boot:" prompt where I can press F1 to display boot options. When I press enter to continue booting the whole screen goes black except for a white mouse pointer. Every 5 seconds the screen goes off (i.e. completely black) for half a second then back to the black screen with mouse pointer which does not move. No response to keyboard so the PC must be switched off. The same slax ISO file boots fine in VMWare player. |
