| #11033 | obsolete | GUI error during the creation of a virtual disk (WINDOWS 7) | ||
| Description |
There is something that happens that the programmers didn't think of to be addressed by a specific error message during the naming of a new virtual disk with Windows 7 (all earlier versions apply as well. Windows 8 probably applies, too.) Apparently VB creates a file inside of the VB directory somewhere under the exact name as is given for the virtual drive. If you use quotation marks in the name (IE: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" Beta 2), it will give you an error message saying there was a problem creating the virtual drive, as you cannot include quotation marks in a filename with Windows. |

| #11039 | obsolete | "unable to allocate and lock memory" error (Prio conflict) | ||
| Description |
I have 6GB of RAM and when I try to put the RAM at 1400MB or higher I get that error. It seems to only work if the RAM is set to 1000MB, but I need at least 2GB of RAM. I have read some of the other entries and tried their solutions, but it doesn't work. I don't have the Google Crash Handler process and I freed up the standby RAM using RAMMap. I have like 3GB of free RAM so it shouldn't be a problem. Host OS: Windows 7 Home 64-bit Guest OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 and 64-bit |
