| #2228 | wontfix | VirtualBox TAP driver fails to work when installed | ||
| Description |
When installing the VirtualBox TAP driver using the VirtualBox Host Interfaces I receive the unsigned driver prompt, which I accept, and then a VirtualBox error box (see first attachment). The new driver is installed but does not function, giving me a bizarre, nonsensical error (see second attachment). I already have an existing, working TAPv9 driver installed for OpenVPN. I also have two non-working VMWare Network drivers which have different errors I have not been able to resolve. This is an upgrade of 2.0.2 over an unrun, fresh install of 2.0.0. I created my first VM and attempted to add a host interface when I got this error. |

| #2229 | fixed | Cant allocate the full 3.5GB to a virtual Machine | ||
| Description |
I'm runnung an AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition with 8GB of memory. My host OS is kubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) 32-bit with the server kernel so I have access to all 8GB memory. If I set a virtual machine to use 3.5GB of memory as it now allows as its maximum, when I boot into the VM it produces an error saying it is unable to allocate enough memory as the host is running low on resources and it pauses the VM. Doing a quick check using top shows I still have plenty of free memory. |
