| #10825 | obsolete | Host Windows 7 power down during sleep mode | ||
| Description |
This is what I can say for sure, I have virtualization turned on for my host computers bios. Host is Windows 7 64Bit, Guest is Win XP 32bit. I have turned off all power management capabilities in guest. If I leave guest actively open, meaning Host has Virtualbox Win XP window in focus, everything is fine. Host's power management is overridden and will stay active till I return no matter how long I am away. If I do not grant Virtualbox i.e. the virtual XP focus, leave the computer, apparently Host will try to enter sleep mode and then the power is cut, and does not shutdown in the proper fashion. |

| #10826 | obsolete | virtualbox getting blown away after host restart | ||
| Description |
Running Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit. VirtualBox 4.1.18 r79361 I have now experienced this extremely serious problem twice now, once with the current version and once with the previous version. I had a Linux guest running, and I restarted Windows 7. VirtualBox brought up the "Shutdown" menu and I selected to "Power Off Machine". After I restart Windows, VirtualBox now says "Inaccessible" - the .vbox file is just gone. Total data loss. Not good. |
