| #4098 | fixed | DHCP send broken Offer and ACK Packets when resolv.conf have too many nameserver -> fixed in svn | ||
| Description |
Host: Ubuntu 8.04.2 (Hardy Heron); Guest: Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) First! Sorry for my english. When the resolv.conf have too many nameserver entries (by VBox 2.2.2 more than 46) the DHCP-Server send broken DHCP Offer and/or ACK packets to the guest. In VBox Version 2.2.3 snv 47645 the number of nameserver entries is higher because they have change the format for sending the DNS-server IP-Adresses (from 6 bytes per entry to 4 bytes per entry). I have capture the Packets with Wireshark to document the problem (in VBox 2.2.2). It can be that the Vbox.log is not from the same time as the wireshark log. It is not normal that a resolv.conf have more then three entries because Ubuntu don't use more than the first three entries Greetings from Berlin |

| #4099 | fixed | Main window frequently doesn't populate when run from 'run dialog', flux menu or Konsole | ||
| Description |
Doesn't Work : 2.2.0, 2.2.2 When run from various 'Run Dialog' programs (gmrun, grun, fluxbox menu) or from the console (Konsole), the main VirtualBox window doesn't populate. This problem occurs frequently, not every time on the test machine. The window appears, with the Sun VirtualBox title, but has nothing inside it. The window cannot be closed using the window manager buttons. The following gets VirtaulBox to work properly: VirtualBox (windows appears blank) killall VirtualBox (quickly!) VirtualBox (program works fine)
From looking at /opt/VirtualBox/VBoxXPCOMIPCD /opt/VirtualBox/VBoxSVC --automate OS: Gentoo, using app-emulation/virtualbox-bin (not compiled from source) WM: fluxbox No VBox.log attached as no Guests need to be run to replicate. |
