Description

Please find attached ‘VirtualBox VBE 4F06_02 BUG in 16 colour mode.png’ with a solution to a problem I found in the VBE of VirtualBox. When in 16 colour mode (102h, 104h and 106h), the sub function BL = 02 is using the CX value as if it was a BL = 00 call.

*Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz, 2668 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

*Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 6,00 GB

*Adapter Type GeForce GTS 250, NVIDIA compatible

The guest is a ubuntu 16.04 LTS with the following specs:

*CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz

*Memory: 2,9 GiB

*Graphics: Chromium

*OS Type: 64 bits

*HDD: 30,5 GB

The problem resides that when enabling the 3D acceleration option Ubuntu is faster but some apps are not rendered and menus keep behind the main window of the app, even snapshots are black.

#15782 fixed Shared Clipboard failing; Guest to Host -> fixed in 5.2 builds after Nov 10 2017 philip
Description

The "Guest to Host" shared clipboard functionality is failing for me with VirtualBox 5.1.2. I have an OS X 10.11.6 host, with an LUbuntu 16.04 guest. Both "Guest to Host" and "Bidirectional" settings behave as if only "Host to Guest" is allowed.

I had reported this during the Beta phase here: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=78285

Note: It is possible to copy text on the guest, then paste into the guest (i.e., the guest's clipboard works fine within the guest itself) but contents do not make it to the shared clipboard. Also, the shared clipboard does work fine as "Host to Guest".
