| #10629 | obsolete | Restoring Snapshot crashes VBox Manager | ||
| Description |
Host operating system is Windows 7 64 bits, AMD FX 8 cores, 32gb ram. Guest os is Windows 7 64 bits as well, 4 cores, 8gb ram. I'm saving a snapshot of the guest OS so I can restore it at a later time. When restoring the state later, it throws an error: Oracle Virtual Box Manager has stopped working. When debugging the exception on Visual Studio, the error message that causes the crash is: "Unhandled exception at 0x6982841b in VirtualBox.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000002fb0." This is the information that appears on the dialog box when the VBox manager crashes: Problem signature:
I have repeated the process many many times expecting a different outcome, but it happens everytime, the state is saved but upon retrieving it crashes. |

| #10634 | obsolete | Assert (server_simpleget.c:689) Windows XP when running Premiere Elements with Guest Additions only | ||
| Description |
I have a Windows XP Professional guest running on a CentOS 6.2 host, VB version 4.1.16. If and only if the Guest Additions are installed, Adobe Premiere Elements 10 is partially functional (the main preview window doesn't work) and will reliably crash Windows itself (not the application, Windows disappears and VB reports its status as "Aborted") if I try to use certain features, such as double-clicking a clip in the palette in order to preview it. I tried everything I could think of (turning off hardware acceleration, etc.) and the instability and partial functionality continue. If I uninstall the Guest Additions, Premiere Elements works perfectly. But the default driver doesn't let me make proper use of my 24" monitor, even in full screen. At the very least, I'd like to be able to keep the mouse driver and network driver that are part of Guest Additions installed, but I can't--you either install all or nothing. This means I can't use shared folders, which is quite annoying. If Oracle can't quickly fix the video driver bug, can you split out the network and mouse drivers from the unusable (for me) video one? The core dump attached shows a crash caused by double-clicking an item in the media list of Premiere Elements 10. |

| #10639 | obsolete | VBox 4.1.16 freezes when adding Extension Pack | ||
| Description |
I had VBox 3.2.10 and reinstalled it to 4.1.16. Then I got Ext Pack version 78094. I run VBox on WinXP with last updates. When I add extension pack (File-Options-Extensions), VBox freezes. Anyway, in Windows Task Manager it is seen that VBox is running. I can leave it for 10 minutes but nothing happen. |
