| #3585 | worksforme | 100% CPU | ||
| Description |
I downloaded Virtualbox 2.1.4 and installed it on my XP laptop. I built a Solaris 10 image with 20GB size. Every thing went well during Solaris installation. When I start Solaris image the CPU usage becomes 100% which slows down every thing on my laptop. Then I created another image with 7GB of size, and it did not help either. Searched in the internet. Nothing helped so far. M |

| #6204 | obsolete | 100% CPU Usage with Chrome (idling) and FF (idling on intense JS sites) | ||
| Description |
Hardware: HP Compaq 6910p )(Core duo) Host: Ubuntu 9.10 Guest: Win 7 Version: 3.1.4 CPU usage on both host and guest are minimal with no programs open. When either Chrome or Firefox are launched, one core on the host shows 100% utilization, while the guest task manager remains minimal. Usage returns to normal when browsers are closed. The workaround is to open a secondary VM and run it idly along with the guest. Old related tickets: http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/4762 http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/1884 |
