#10474 obsolete Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Crashing Under VirutalBox 4.1.12 Stewart Berman
Description

Host: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with all important patches VirtualBox 4.1.12 Guest: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with all important patches

I stayed on VirtualBox 3.0.10 for a long time because all of my VMs were stable under it. (I tried 3.0.12 but the VMs kept crashing.)

I upgraded to 4.1.12 and my VMs crash when left running. I have attached the log files that cover the period of the latest crash and an analysis of the MEMORY.DMP file that windows produces.

#10475 obsolete Guru Meditation -4014 (VERR_VMX_INVALID_GUEST_STATE) on hibernation of Ubuntu guest Jim Avera
Description

Client hibernate has never worked for Ubuntu clients and Ubuntu hosts.

I just re-tested using vb 4.1.12. The client is Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit, with updated guest additions and PAE/NX enabled. The host is Ubuntu 64-bit (i7 CPU).

When hibernating the client, the error window appears saying "A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has been stopped" etc.

VBox.log will be attached
