#10450 obsolete Ubuntu 12.04 extremely slow both 32-bit & 64-bit Perry G
Description

Booting and using Ubuntu 12.04 as a guest is extremely slow. As host it appears to be snappy. Running from the latest compile from SVN with the GAs close behind. I am attaching the log from the latest boot of the 32-bit version and if you look at the times you will see what I am talking about. It takes close to 2 minutes just to get to the logon screen. Let me know if you want the log from the 64-bit.

#10452 obsolete Interaction between VirtualBox bridged networking on resume from hibernate mgfvvc
Description

On several occasions, my Linux guest has been able to communicate normally with the network, but my Windows host has had no network access. As at least one service that is accessed directly by IP address is affected, it is not just DNS, it is all network access.

I believe this happens after resuming from hibernate. That has been the case recently. I could not guarantee that it has always been the case.

I have previously resolved this problem by rebooting the host, however, recently I noticed that the network seemed to recover between shutting down VirtualBox and rebooting.

Today I had the same issue and I was able to get the host network working again by stopping the Virtualbox guest. After restarting the VirtualBox guest the host network is still working normally.

My network settings are bridged networking, via a wireless adapter, identifying itself as "Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 AGN".

The host OS is win 7 32 bit.
