| #11660 | obsolete | Weird performance of rawdisk on SSD | ||
| Description |
Hello there, how do yu feel this fine day? I've started using my SSD partitions as rawdisk through vmkd image and everything works fine but HD Tune reports really weird performance bencharks results. The SSD shows it's true speed only after 3/4ths of the test is already done. For the most part it hangs around 100MB/s then at around 80% suddenly spikes to 250MB/s. The attached screenshots document that. Access times are fine. This happens no matter how many times the test is repeated. This very well might be a problem with how HD Tune does things but I do find it weird. |

| Description |
Ticket 14269 is set to "obsolete". I am experiencing the exact same problem with VirtualBox 5.1.8 I just downloaded from your site. I loaded VB tried to initiate a Linux MINT client and got the error. Have tried other LINUX version all with same result. I removed VB and re-loaded it. Same problem. I downloaded VB again. Loaded it and got the same problem. I run VMware V8.04 workstation successfully on this computer. My OS is Windows 7. My Antivirus is Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1. Hard drive is encrypted via Symantec Endpoint Encryption client. CPU is Intel i5 with 8 GB RAM. Is there a fix or work around? Thanks tom Worthen |

| #11146 | fixed | Repeated general protection fault | ||
| Description |
Not sure what is causing this, but my window manager freezes and I have to 'hard' reboot the VM. I can login to the ubuntu-12.10 (Linux mythbox 3.5.0-17-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 9 19:31:23 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) system via SSH and attempt a reboot command, however, the system hangs and does not reboot. |
