| #2164 | duplicate | More free assignment of CD-ROMs and images | ||
| Description |
VirtualBox supports Secondary IDE Master as the one and only connection point for *.iso image or a single physical drive. It does neither allow *.iso or real CD/DVD on other IDE channels nor a harddisk image at this port. These are bad limitations (not present in other products). Please allow ISO images and Host CD/DVD to be connected to any parallel IDE port. Please allow harddisk images to be connected to Secondary IDE Master. |

| #2165 | invalid | Sun Type-7 US/UNIX layout keyboard reportedly not fully supported | ||
| Description |
I am using Sun Type 7 keyboard (US/UNIX layout, X3738A) with VirtualBox 2.0 on OpenSolaris nevada build 84. I get the following warning (log file attached) when I start a virtual machine- 00:01:13.443 Your keyboard layout does not appear to fully supported by 00:01:13.443 VirtualBox. If you would like to help us improve the product, 00:01:13.443 please submit a bug report and attach this logfile. Note that, in the attached file the suggested "correct" layout is actually wrong. This isn't a PC style keyboard but a UNIX one with ESC key left of "1" and Ctrl & Caps swapped (among other differences). I am also attaching an image of the keyboard in case it helps. |

| #2166 | duplicate | Fedora 10 alpha kernel crashes on boot | ||
| Description |
My Fedora 10 alpha (32 bit) installation fails to boot on VirtualBox - the kernel spews out lots of BUG messages. Workaround is to use the kernel on the Fedora 9 install CD image. Also all of the kernel releases in rawhide (development) leading up to this also crash on bootup. Mac OS X 10.5 (32 bit) is the host. Reportedly this also occurs if Fedora 9 is the host. |
