| #16047 | duplicate | Error deleting a snapshot -> duplicate of #15831 | ||
| Description |
Linux host with windows guest and three .vdi disks. If I try to delete the snapshot the process starts, but after merging the first image the progress window closes but the screen still shows the snapshot as existing. However, the first snapshot physical file has been deleted from the disk, but not removed from the .vbox configuration file. The other two .vdi files are untouched. I can no longer start the VM. This has happened on multiple different VMs. |

| #16046 | fixed | VirtualBox guests interfering with proper function of fbpanel, xfce4-panel, lxpanel on host -> should be fixed in releases higher than 5.1.6/ revision 111167 | ||
| Description |
fbpanel, lxpanel, xfce4-panel and possibly others have problems with right-clicking their task manager buttons after (any) virtual machine is started from the VirtualBox Manager. Previous versions of VirtualBox (4.x.x and 5.0.x) did not have this problem. This happens on Linux (Debian, Void) and FreeBSD 10.3 hosts. How to reproduce this issue:
This problem does not seem to happen when only the VirtualBox Manager is running. VirtualBox version: 5.1.6 r110634 - (Qt5.6.1) |

| #16040 | worksforme | Unable to stop the Ubuntu VM | ||
| Description |
Hi Team, I just observed an issue while trying out few things running Ubuntu 14.4 Server virtual image on VBox Version 5.1.6 r110634 (Qt5.5.1). If you add lot of CPU intensive operations in the ISR (with the goal of making it take much long time), eventually the machine hangs for obvious reasons by printing a final message on VMBox console “NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup – CPU#0 stuck for 22s! [swapper/0:0] When I tried to kill the Virtual image, the VBox is stuck with screen attached. Is it a bug in VBox or something conceptual I am unable to understand? Thanks, Deepak |
