| #12263 | duplicate | <Super> (Win) button uncaptures keyboard from virtual machine | ||
| Description |
When I press <Super> while the keyboard is captured by the virtual machine, both the guest and the host complete the action assigned to that button (popping up Start menu and Dash menu respectively) and subsequently the keyboard is uncaptured from the guest os. To capture it again, I have to press <Alt>+<Tab> or the <Super> button a second time. It seems the defect has to do with the Dash Home menu of Ubuntu 12.04 Unity interface. The Dash gets activated even though the keyboard is captured and focus doesn't return to VirtualBox until this pane is hidden again. If I use VirtualBox in fullscreen mode the Dash menu doesn't appear but is activated in the background, as I can see if I try to change workspace (<Alt>+<Arrow>). If I use VirtualBox in windowed mode, the Dash menu appears and covers the window. In both cases I have to follow the same procedure to recapture the keyboard. |

| #10058 | obsolete | Installation fails on Win7x64 with temp folder on Y: drive | ||
| Description |
With the Windows temp folder set to Y: (in the environment variables), the installation of VirtualBox (tested on 4.1.6 and 4.1.8) fails with the error: "Installation failed! Error: The system cannot find the file specified." (4.1.8) Changing the temp folder to for instance c:\temp lets the installation proceed without problem. Running the installer as administrator does not help. Tested and verified on Windows7 64-bit |

| #8672 | fixed | VDRP displays black screen after hard disconnect. | ||
| Description |
I have an Ubuntu 10.10 host running VirtualBox 4.0.4 r70112. My guest OS is Windows 7 Ultimate. When a VRDP user's connection drops, the guest is nolonger reachable via VRDP. I can still connect to the guest with the correct window dimensions, but my mouse disappears and the window is completely black. No amount of waiting or clicking can change this. I've tried connecting from windows, mac, and linux... all return the same black screen. The guest is accessible from the host session using the GUI. The only remedy to the situation is to restart the guest. Steps to reproduce:
You will be allowed to connect, but the screen will be black and you will have no control. |
