I run Virtualbox with Windows XP ServicePack 3 , I open Notepad and I press the button Alt+125 on your keyboard , the virtualbox go in crash and I see the windows ( see attach ) , the problem is not always present. |

After update to the 5.1.x branch I have some jitter kind of sound. Couple of times it ended with a crash of the VM. I post some logs here, one from Windows 10 (1511) guest and host and one from Windows 8.1 guest and host. Hope it could help solve this problem. I do the downgrade to the 5.0.x line now. |

After upgrading some of my Debian Stretch VMs to the Linux kernel 4.7.8 or 4.8.5 they would hang forever during boot after loading the initial ramdisk. This only happens with 32bit guests and on both Linux and Windows hosts. After I enabled the IO-APIC in the machine settings, they booted successfully again. More importantly, I can't even install a recent Debian Testing build without enabling IO-APIC first. Steps to reproduce:
I could also reproduce this with VirtualBox 5.1.9 and 5.0.28. |
