#16286 fixed Kernel module does not compile with Linux 4.9 HarryE
Description

The kernel module is not compiling with Virtual Box 5.1.10 for Debian Jessie and Linux 4.9. I get the following compile error:

#16279 duplicate If USB Ethernet disconnets while VM is running, guest network connectivity is lost until VM is restarted Rafcio
Description

I have noticed that temporary USB Ethernet interruption will cause the guest network connectivity to drop until the guest VM is restarted. This happens on multiple guest OSes. In my case the VM is bridged to an USB Ethernet adapter, and if that network adapter stops working temporarily (there seems to be USB timeout issue on AMD motherboards), then guest network connectivity will stop working entirely until the VM is restarted. I'm not sure if restart of VM will fix the issue, I was always shutting down the VM and starting again.

#16277 obsolete Lagging/cracking/chopped sound on Windows 8.1 x64 guest - MacOs 10.12.1 - VBox 5.1.11 GAAndrey
Description

Whenever I just test the sound with control panel sound device testing features I get a familiar to anybody related with music production latency cracking, which indicates in any DAW that you've reached your CPU/Audio interface capabilities limits and one of the options is to increase a buffer size. I don't know where's the buffer size tweaking in Virtualbox. Maybe it's the say kind of solution. If I plug in headphones with a mic and turn on "listen device" on the mic, then turn down the mic volume all the way down, the lagging becomes significantly more tolerable as it barely happens, but still it does. The piece of software that shows odd behavior with this issue is Audible Genius Synthorial. The sample played whenever you complete the challenge successfully has always sounded perfectly clear. Update: I just installed this software on the Windows 8.1 instance that I provided logfile for. Something even more strange happened. A couple of intro videos didn't have a correct I believe vertical sync. After that everything returned to normal. No sound or video issues at all.
