| #15748 | fixed | OSX 10.11.6 : vboxmanage createhd fails when using options --variant Fixed,Split2G => fixed in SVN/5.1.x | ||
| Description |
When using vboxmanage the createhd fails when used with Fixed and Split2G. This works without these variants specified. This appears to have come into effect sometime between OSX 10.10.5 and OSX 10.11.6. Basic things like disk space and volume type for the OSX installation were checked without any obvious issues like file size etc. To replicate use the command VBoxManage createhd --format VMDK --filename junk.vmdk --size 8192 --variant Fixed,Split2G Full trace is : $ VBoxManage createhd --format VMDK --filename build/junk.vmdk --size 8192 --variant Fixed,Split2G 0%...10%...20%...30%...40%...50%...60%...70%...80%...90%... | #13935 | fixed | Mouse capture failing upon guest install after upgrade to v4.3.24 | ||
| Description |
I've recently upgraded a Windows 8.1 x64 host from v4.3.22 to v4.3.22 and have encountered a mouse capture issue. When installing a guest, the only way to get the mouse to move is by transferring the mouse device via USB to the guest. Without this transfer, the mouse can only left-click and right-click but not move. This is true for both my notebook trackpad and external USB mouse. Once the guest is installed and has the guest additions installed this problem goes away. If I transfer the mouse to the guest OS via Devices > USB Devices, I can complete the guest install but have to diconnect and reconnect the mouse from the host in order to reuse it with the host again. Since the upgrade to v4.3.24 I have suffered this will all x64 Linux guests I have installed: . Evolve-OS-Beta1 . lxle14041 . Peppermint-5-20140623-amd64 My notebook is a HP ProBook 4740S with a Synaptics Touchpad and a Slint GM263 external mouse. |
