| #910 | invalid | Installing Windows 98 on VirtualBox | ||
| Description |
I have installed VirtualBox on Suse, and I wanted to install Win98. I made everything I should, modprobe and userpermissions, but every time I start win98 VM it just crashes. I searched over the net, and in forums, and it seams that many people have the same problem, but I found no solution to it. |

| #10162 | fixed | Guests on Linux host have flaky network access when bridged across wireless | ||
| Description |
Across two computers, across a couple of Linux distros (Fedora and openSUSE), across Windows and Linux guests, across 6 months: When I set a VM to use bridged networking to my wifi card, the guest has spotty access to the Internet. Other computers on the LAN can talk to the guest just fine, but if the guest tries to talk to anything on the Internet 9 times out of 10 it'll get some variant of "connection reset". This only occurs when bridged to my wireless card (I've tried on different networks, and it's the same)- bridging to my Ethernet card causes no problems. |

| #11652 | duplicate | Guest additions 4.2.10 fail under Debian Wheezy guests due to vboxvideo_drm.c error | ||
| Description |
#10756 has resurfaced. Guest additions 4.2.10 can't be installed as-is under Debian Wheezy guests. Compilation of the vboxvideo module fails at /tmp/vbox.0/vboxvideo_drm.c:119 (see attachment) due to what appears to be a kernel backport. As explained at vboxvideo_drm.c:92: "since linux-3.3.0-rc1 drm_driver::fops is pointer". This is true, however the 'fops' member of struct drm_driver is also a pointer in Debian Wheezy (kernel version 3.2.0-4-amd64). This can be seen at /usr/src/linux-headers-3.2.0-4-common/include/drm/drmP.h:921. It is possible to work around this bug as follows:
Guest additions should now be installed. |
