| #2029 | fixed | Error while installing virtualbox 1.6.4 on Windows XP SP3 host | ||
| Description |
I can't install virtualbox on my Windows XP SP3 host. After "copying new files", the installer starts "rolling back action" and then I get a message saying that setup ended prematurely because of an error. This every time I try installing. I have tried disabling my firewall and antivirus, as well as installing using the "Administrator" administrator account but it won't work. Note, however, that I have tried reproducing this on another computer of mine but the installation goes through as it should. There was another person (ticket #1730) who encountered errors during installation on Windows Vista, but his case the installer was producing a different error. My error occurs while installing the driver package VBoxDrv.inf; InstallDriverPackages() returns with error code 82 (0x52). To be more precise, it fails in DriverPackageInstallW with the following error: DIFXAPP: ERROR: Create Driver Store entry failed. (Error code 0x6E: The system cannot open the device or file specified.) I am including the entire log file for debugging purposes. |

| #2030 | fixed | Gnome locks up as i click inside VM | ||
| Description |
On a fresh install of Ubuntu Hardy , i installed Virtual Box 1.6.4 following the instructions listed at http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-install-virtualbox-16-in-ubuntu-804hardy-heron-including-usb-support.html. The applications seems to run fine, but once a VM is created, launching the VM and clicking inside the VM window it locks up; the mouse pointer disappears, right-ctrl does nothing and there is no way i can get out of the VM window - all i can do is ctrl-alt-bkspace and log back in. This bug is unrelated to the Guest OS - actually i created an empty VM machine with no hard disk and no OS but it crashed as well as soon as i clicked inside its window. I attach some log files to study. |

| #2031 | fixed | SATA RAW disk I/O fails FreeBSD | ||
| Description |
I am trying to run a virtualised BSD guest with 3 RAW disks and a primary Virtual disk. I have enabled the SATA support and one of the 3 RAW disks is on this while the other two are IDE. The machine loads but keep coming up with I/O errors on the SATA disk. It does not matter what disk I use in the SATA slot, all refuse to work. |
