#10037 obsolete Corruption preventing access to drivecrypt container mounted as drive dfatvb
Description

Host is Win7x64, booting Win7x32 (installed as drive X:) in the virtualbox, latest version of virtualbox and extensions as of this writing. Using shared folders to share local drives C:, D:, E:, F: where F: is a drive crypt 5.5.0 mounted container on a network mapped drive on the local host system. They are mapped to drive letters C:, D:, E:, and F: in the Win7x32 so all scripts needing to run 16 bit code still work under the virtual machine. Problem is after a short while, the drive crypt drive starts having problems with files not found, corruption, locked, etc.. I have to reboot the main machine once that occurs because it happens on that drive no matter what (host or guest). Thank goodness damage doesn't get saved to the drive crypt container. But, it's making it a pain to work with; XP mode is worse in that its shared folders doesn't work with the drive correctly from the start. However, I have a virtualbox machine with debian lenny and access that drivecrypt mounted drive via a shared folder with no problem (can work on it all day). So perhaps it has something to do with either Win7x32 in the virtualbox or the virtualbox Windows extensions for shared folders???

#10039 obsolete Problems with USB webcam after update from VBOX 4.0.8 to 4.1.6 gb
Description

Since the update from VirtualBox 4.0.8 to 4.1.6 does not work my webcam via USB on Guest System. As soon as I enable this, so depends on the host system, including VirtualBox. So that help only a reboot of the host. The webcam does work well before the update. Other USB devices such as e.g. Scanner work without problems.

Host system: Win 7 Home Premium SP 1 Virtualbox V4.1.6 Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.1.6 Extension Pack r74713 In the USB settings of the host system is normally inserted the webcam. Oracle VM Virtualbox Extension Pack 4.1.6 r74713 is installed.

Guest: Win XP Professional SP3

#10040 obsolete Periodic crash of Windows Guests on Linux Host David
Description

This has been going on for a while and it's somewhat sporadic, say once a month, that this will happen. I have 3 guests running on an opensuse 11.4 host. The host has 8 GB of ram with 4 AMD cores and I have roughly 6 GB in use at any given point in time (free -m will typically show between 1.7 and 2 GB of ram free under buffers/cache). I also have 5 GB of swap available for use by the host and this is basically unused (maybe 30k out of 5 GB).

One of the 2 windows guests on the host will crash periodically. I don't believe that it has ever happened with the linux guest. Now, this latest time, the guest (SMP install) with a cpucap of 4 and limit set at 80%, crashed while just sitting there. I had rebooted it about 3 weeks ago and it was just sitting there when it crashed.

I start this guest from the command line using nohup and have this output as well. Another strange thing is that the nohup output appears to have more information in it than the log file. Anyway, I'm attaching all of it in the hopes that you can tell me what is wrong.

I have searched through the forums and don't see anything like this.
