| #9965 | obsolete | driver_power_state_failure BSOD on Win 7/64 when computer tries to go to sleep | ||
| Description |
I previously had VirtualBox 3.x that I installed back around July-August 2011, and I had numerous BSOD's while the computer was going to sleep, and as I later found out, only when it was connected to my HP Port Replicator. It turned out the Port Replicator Ethernet Adapter was involved in the crash, as well as the VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter. I uninstalled VirtualBox and the problem disappeared. Once I reinstalled, this time with version 4.1.6, the problem happened again. You can follow my troubleshooting steps here (note that only minidumps 4 and 5 are still available, with links to them on page 2 of the thread). http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/who-could-help-analyze-a-minidump-to-find/555c81e3-2dec-47c9-9404-daf1b1b5f683?page=1 The minidumps there should give the required info about the crashes. dump 4 was with VB version 3.x, the dump 5 with version 4.1.6 Thank you |

| #7699 | obsolete | driver-related OpenGL segfaults | ||
| Description |
In Ubuntu 10.10 64 (although I'm fairly sure someone on the forums saw the same in 10.04) and Windows 7 64bit, with guest additions installed, many programs using OpenGL (definitely all that use GLUT, and some others) segfault. Some still work (e.g. compiz, glxgears), so I know the 3D drivers are enabled. Looking at a few backtraces in Ubuntu, the commonality they seem to share is that they crash in the driver code where they are trying to get information about what OpenGL extensions or windows are available. Let me know what other debug info might be needed. (VBox.log is attached) |
