Ticket Resolution Summary Owner Reporter
#3469 fixed Idea:Throttling for Nat adapter Erik Andersen
Description

I think that it would be useful to have the option to throttle a Virtual Box's NAT adapter to a specific speed.

#3470 fixed abnormal cpu consumption when usb mapping enabled luis peralta
Description

When mapping USB ports from the host to the guest system, VirtualBox consumes around 50% of the host CPU time even when the machine is idle. Same results occur with EHCI enabled or disabled.

Attached USB device is a temperature sensor which is polled every 5 minutes for its value. I can expect VBox to consume that much CPU while the device is being used, but not when idling. Deactivating USB support makes VBox consume less 5% CPU on the host system most of the time.

#3472 fixed Windows Guest on Fedora 10x64 host Yian
Description

The scandisk (all command variants) as well as chkdsk fail even on non problematic ntfs disks. These programs report after phase 2 that ntfs cannot be repaired. These disks are accessed within the USB2.0 interface supplied by VirtualBox.

Host: Fedora 10 x64 Guest: Windows XP Pro SP2 (with or without updates up to current date)

The ntfs disks have over 1M files. Normal Windows XP do correct the ntfs file structure.

Thanks...

p.s. In many cases mounting a USB drive through virtualbox is not readily seen by windows. A few times mounting off and on are needed.
