| #16431 | worksforme | Long Path Name error inside windows VM with path length < 150 | ||
| Description |
I'm running a windows 10 VM (build 1607) on a host also on windows 10 1607, both have the Enable Long Path activated but I'm always getting the long path error when I try to overwrite a file in a folder structure with full path name length no more than 150 chars in the guest OS. I could not find a reason for this error in the guest since the host does not have it. The folder is not shared, it's a folder inside C: in the guest. The folder itself has path length of 89 chars, plus the file name. It is way less than the max of 250 even if Enable Long Path was disabled. If I deleted the old file instead of overwriting it, I don't get the error. Trying to rename the file gives me error again. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you. |
