Description

Host: Windows 10 (Version 10.0.10240) Guest: Windows 7 (creating virtual machines from distribution to the host DVD)

When I try mount the host CD/DVD devices, and the host DVD drive as an available storage device, I get the following error message:

Could not mount the media/drive 'E:' (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED) Error code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: ConsoleWrap Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed} Called interface: IMachine {f30138d4-e5ea-4b3a-8858-a059de4c93fd}

I tried to solve my issue by installing a new version of the VirtualBox (5.0.5 R102660), but error persists.

#10315 obsolete VirtualBox installation causes sound issues on Windows 7 x64 host Alexander
Description

Sound on Windows 7 x64 host became intermittent and distorted after VirtualBox installation. Deinstallation restores the sound quality. I found that Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.1.8 driver for Bridged Networking causes the issue, because its removal from installation list helps to avoid the problem.

Host:

OS: Windows 7 x64 Professional

Notebook: Asus U31SD

Processor: Intel Core i3-2310M

RAM: 8 Gb

Soundcard: Realtek High Definition Audio

Network adapters: Atheros AR8151 and Atheros AR9002WB-1NG

All drivers are up to date.
