| #10315 | obsolete | VirtualBox installation causes sound issues on Windows 7 x64 host | ||
| Description |
Sound on Windows 7 x64 host became intermittent and distorted after VirtualBox installation. Deinstallation restores the sound quality. I found that Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.1.8 driver for Bridged Networking causes the issue, because its removal from installation list helps to avoid the problem. Host: OS: Windows 7 x64 Professional Notebook: Asus U31SD Processor: Intel Core i3-2310M RAM: 8 Gb Soundcard: Realtek High Definition Audio Network adapters: Atheros AR8151 and Atheros AR9002WB-1NG All drivers are up to date. |
