| #16462 | fixed | Cannot use frontends with unreachable USBIP host on VBoxSVC cold start => fixed in SVN/next maintenance | ||
| Description |
If we try to use one of the frontends after having configured a USBIP host that is not reachable later and VBoxSVC is not yet running, we are greated with the following error: error: Failed to create the VirtualBox object! error: Creating the USB device source "" using backend "USBIP" failed with VERR_NET_HOST_UNREACHABLE error: Details: code NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005), component USBProxyService, interface IHost
This happens in user frontends (tested with VirtualBox and VBoxManage) which prevents any re-configuration to remove the unreachable host. Expected behaviour: don't stop the front-end from running, especially vboxmanage which is the only way to reconfigure. |

| #2955 | fixed | Cannot use host network in 2.1.0 | ||
| Description |
Am running 2.1.0 in Ubuntu 8.10. Guest OS is Windows XP. Guest OS used to boot in 2.0.6 using the vbox0 interface bridged to br0 using brctl. I changed the guest to use the new host networking feature, so have configured the adapter 1 to use pcnet interface attaced to host interface. Under host interfaces eth0 is present, and highlighted. When I try to boot the Guest I get the following: Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-eth0' (VERR_PERMISSION_DENIED). Unknown error creating VM (VERR_PERMISSION_DENIED). In log I see: 00:00:01.319 IntNet#0: szNetwork={HostInterfaceNetworking-eth0} enmTrunkType=3 szTrunk={eth0} fFlags=0x0 cbRecv=223232 cbSend=36864

| #1706 | fixed | Cannot use host window scrollbars | ||
| Description |
VirtualBox v1.6.2. Host is Ubuntu 8.04-64bit. Guest is Fedora Core 9, newly-installed. When FC9 first comes up as the guest during the installation process, the default desktop (1600x1200) is larger than my host resolution of 1680x1050, so scrollbars are shown in the VirtualBox window. But the scrollbars are not working, preventing me from seeing the bottom of the windows. Unfortunately, at the bottom of the window (which cannot be accessed) is the "Next", "Previous", and "Finish" pushbuttons necessary to complete the installation of FC9. Would be nice if the content of the guest could be automatically scaled down so the entire window is visible, or if the scrollbars worked correctly. |
