| #3394 | fixed | USB on Linux-Host only with USBFS | ||
| Description |
If i understand the Changelog since 2.1.2 correct, USBFS is not needed any more. But this doesnt not work for me: Host: Suse Linux 11.1 64 Bit VirtualBox: 2.1.4 PUEL / AMD 64 Guest: WinXP (SP3, Home, Prof), Vista Business Guest Additions 2.1.4 installed User is in the Group "vboxusers": cat /etc/group | grep vboxusers => vboxusers:!:1000:stefan In the Guest Settings all USB-Devices are visible and i can attach USB-Filters for a Printer (Epson DX8400) and an USB Cardreader. But in the Guest Settings all USB-Devices are greyed out. In the Printer Settings "Offline" is shown. It works correct via the old way. FSTAB: usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs auto,busgid=1000,busmode=0775,devgid=1000,devmode=0664 0 0 boot.local: mount usbfs If more Infos are needed, please tell me what. PS: Its not a very important thing, because the other approach works. |

| #10099 | fixed | Vista Guest - Aero does not work anymore | ||
| Description |
In Windows Vista guests Aero does not work anymore. Its since the update from 4.1.6 to 4.1.8. Its on two hosts with Mint 12 64 Bit (8 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4200, Catalyst 11.12, LXDE Desktop) and Suse 12.1 64 Bit (4 GB RAM, Nvidia 9500 GT, Nvidia Driver 290.10, KDE 4.7x Desktop). VBOX 4.1.8 on both machines in build 75467 from the vbox homepage. Its for Vista 32 and 64 Bit Guests on both Machines. At startup there is an error message. After startup Aero cant be activated. I think its a vbox regression in 4.1.8. It worked in 4.1.6. And in 4.1.8 Win 7 guests work properly. And both hosts machines are very different. |

| #10573 | worksforme | Lost a virtual machine for the second time since recent update | ||
| Description |
I shut a W7 virtual machine down and then suspended my host computer. When I tried to access my VM tonight I get an error could not find an open hard disk with UUID ..... This is the second failure I have had since the most recent upgrade after several years or almost error free operation. I have also had several unexplained reboots of W7 The two VDI files appear to be on my hard disk. Should I revert to the earlier and apparently more reliable version? running on Vista 32 bit VBox 4.1.14 I have attached the most recent log file which shows the shut down. |
