The USB webcam was working before the 4.1.4 version of the virtualbox. The led of the USB on the tastus bar of the virtual machine is on and stay on. The only way is to restart the host system. If I don't display the image of the webcam, I can move the USB webcam right/left and up/down with the logitech software of the camera throw the USB. I want to go back to the previous version and now nothing is working.... |

| #9781 | obsolete | Linux Host with Windows Guest Freeze/Crash (WDDM 3D Driver) | ||
| Description |
Host OS: Canonical Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit Guest OS: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit I know this is still an experimental driver. However, I felt I should share my experience to improve the product. This Windows 7 VM is used as a development VM for work and has a requirement for a WDDM compatible driver. Every 5 minutes or so the VM freezes, and generally for approximately 30 seconds. After a series of these freezes occur it eventually leads to a crash that force reboots the VM. I have attempted to grab a log file but I don't see one being generated. Any information on how I can assist with clearing this up would greatly benefit the experience of a Windows VM on a Linux Host. Thank you |

| #9783 | obsolete | Unkown Device in Windows XP guest | ||
| Description |
I am running a Windows XP32 guest on Mac OSX 10.6.8 host. I am in the process of developing a project that requires me to connect to an Altera Dev Kit through a Altera USB-Blaster. I could not get the USB-Blaster to show in the Device Manager instead it was always shown as 'Unknown Device'. Both tt's PID and VIP were 0000, although in the VirtualBox USB Device Filter both were correct. I had been running the XP guest using 4 cores of the 8 available. I found that by just using 1 core the problem went away and the USB-Blaster device registered correctly. However if I used any more than 1 core, the problem would come back and the device would be unkown. This also happens with the 'Space Navigator' from '3DConnection' I have connected. Flash drives appear to be operating normaly Stuart |
